Northline Angus supports youth in the industry by helping and highlighting the bright, young cattle raisers who are the future of the cattle business.   We have developed a network of dedicated young people and offer our support and help in the ways that they say serves them best.  It is a reward in itself to see these leaders grow.  Networking is everything in this industry, and we are committed to assisting our juniors as much as we can. These young cattle enthusiasts are driven and determined to make the most of their years as youth livestock producers.

Abby Geye

Abby is 16 years old and hails from Rising Star, Texas. This young lady embodies quiet confidence, which gives her exceptional presence in the show ring! Her hobbies include tennis, basketball and livestock judging. Abby reaches her goals through the magic combination of hard work and determination. Probably the thing that stands out most to us, is how generous Abby is with her time helping kids out. She is a really good teacher and role model for younger participants and actively spends time helping them learn.

A highlight of Abby's show year with Northline Betty Boop was being Reserve Supreme British Female at the Houston Junior Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Shawn Skaggs

Shawn is 16yrs old from Deleon, Texas. Alongside his family they run the renowned "Blue Ribbon Beefmasters" operation. When he's not busy rockin' the Beefmaster ring, you can find Shawn making hay with his dad, or spending time hunting and fishing.

What we find so remarkable about Shawn is his ability to learn and adapt quickly. Coming from a successful 'American' cattle breed we weren't really sure Shawn knew what he signed up for when he bought his first 'haired' animal. He surprised us all with how much hair he was able to grow, and how fast he learned how to put glue in one. He truly demonstrates perseverance and dedication on a whole other level.

One of the highlights of Shawns heifer Northline Red Hot was being Reserve Champion Intermediate Female at the Fort Worth Stock Show.

What stands out about Trey is his calm and reserved nature, but he has a wicked sense of humour that he uses to crack jokes with his family and friends and generally keep us entertained!

One of the highlights with Trey's heifer Red Northline Blondie, was winning a class at the 2015 National Red Angus Show.

Sierra Harlow

Sierra is 12 years old, she is from Randolph, Texas. Sierra is passionate about many things, and pursues each with a big heart. She enjoys playing basketball, hanging out with friends and is very active in church. This young lady is extremely compassionate and kind, she truly has a heart the size of Texas! She has a love for all animals, and wants to one day attend vet school at OSU. We admire Sierra's determination to push through limitations to accomplish her dreams and know she will accomplish what she has her mind set on.
